My experience at AMFI has been scattered with confronting moments in an environment where I expected to be guided and supported to change the industry - but only to realise that this only exists within a certain mould and identity that is quintessentially AMFI. My most pressing realisation in hindsight that i have learned to recognise and deal with through therapy over the last years, is that this institution has not provided me with a safe space or respite from my personal life.
